This case has been successfully concluded! FIDA Kenya had joined as an interested party to combat discrimination towards women. The Limuru Country Club had amended its bylaws to the effect that women members were excluded from participation in the club’s General Meetings. This decision was quashed as the amendment would discriminate against women members contrary to the club’s consitituion, and would also be contrary to fundamental rights and freedoms provided for under articles 27 and 3 of the Constitution of Kenya.
