PRESS STATEMENT: IMMEDIATE POLICE ACTION REQUIRED ON THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE BRUTAL MURDER OF MS. ROSE WARUINGE, ADVOCATE
FIDA Kenya is deeply saddened by the brutal murder of Ms. Rose Waruinge on Friday, 10th February 2012. Ms. Waruinge, a member of the initial FIDA Kenya steering committee, was killed in cold blood in her Nairobi house by unknown criminals.
We wish to condemn the heinous act in the strongest terms possible and appeal to the police to conduct speedy and thorough investigations into the murder of Ms. Waruinge.
We are, therefore, looking forward to the Kenya police bringing to book the criminals that committed the barbaric act and demand that the police proactively seek ways to stem the rising cases of insecurity in the country.

How saddening. How disgusting. whoever killed Rose plucked a beautiful “Rose” flower, that made many people happy. Rose’s death leaves us bewildered on who is this so brutal, so bad, so destructive. Why destroy Rose flowers when there so many thorns to be plucked. But Rose will sprout and live forever in God’s garden, which is never dry. Rose, may your sweet soul rest in everlasting peace. BUT those who pluck God’s Roses, oh, poor soul, you too will miss the Roses in the garden and hence luck the serenity that only Rose flowers give. Women need to be protected. Even if I do not know, am sure men killed Rose. Men in Power, please protect us from those of your kind, so brutal!
